How tier.daily works.
A daily-refreshed tier-list and tools catalog for engineers picking models and infrastructure.
Tier methodology
Model tiers (5/5 → 1/5) are computed automatically from Artificial Analysis benchmark scores and OpenRouter pricing/speed data. Within each category, models are ranked by quality and assigned quintile tiers. Hysteresis prevents tier flapping between nightly runs.
- Artificial Analysis is the canonical model list — OpenRouter enriches matched entries only.
- Each model has a detail page with benchmark scores, pricing, and context — open it from the tier-list.
- Referral links in the tools catalog never influence tier assignments.
Update cadence
The collector runs daily (UTC). Each run refreshes models.json, meta.json, and appends tier moves to changelog.json. The site reads JSON at runtime — no rebuild required for data updates.
Tools catalog
Tools are curated manually in tools.json with last_verified timestamps. Stale entries are flagged in the UI. Tools changes are not mixed into the model tier changelog.
